10 Years of Biocon Academy
Celebrated 10 years of industry-aligned training and global partnership with KGI.
Program Batches Completed
54 batches completed across 6 flagship programs including Biosciences, AIM, QCA, GRA, SMF, and FDP.
Rotary Choice Awards 2024
Awarded for DEI Catalyst for Social Impact and Promoting Women’s Participation.
MCADDI 2024 Conference
Hosted 100+ scientists with 32 expert sessions, in partnership with ACS and global collaborators.
Alumni & Industry Events
Alumni Day and Talent Acquisition Meet engaged 130+ participants from Biocon Group and beyond.
Training Stats (FY24–25)
154 students trained (113 women), 100% placement in 30+ companies. 22 faculty trained via FDP.
University of Glasgow Collaboration
Launched international biotech immersion program for Glasgow students in India.
New Training Initiatives
Launched Operational Excellence, DOE, MVA, POSH & Bias training across all programs.
HoloLens-Powered Learning
3 Fermenter Design workshops held using HoloLens tech with real-time immersive training.
Demo Lab Expansion
Received major equipment donations from KL Group (China) for enhanced hands-on training.
Graduation Day 2024
165 students graduated across 7 batches. 8 received Gold Medals for Academic Excellence.
Empowering Women in STEM
73% of trained students were women – all successfully placed in the industry.
Academy in Focus
We kicked off Batch 7 of the Biocon Ramaiah Certificate Program in Quality Control Analytical.
Biocon Academy hosted a delegation from Australia to explore potential avenues for collaboration. Special thanks to Steven Connoly, Vik Singh, Annie Santhana and Pooja Iyer.
We are proud to launch Batch 3 of the Syngene Ramaiah Certificate Program in Sterile Manufacturing.
Biocon Academy hosted representatives from the German Consulate to explore future synergies.
